Welcome to the Summer Program 2016 in Kosovo

19 June - 22 July, 2016

The A.U.K Post-Conflict Transformation and Development Program provides students courses and activities taught by academic specialists and distinguished practitioners among diplomats, military, and civilians working in conflict resolution, post-conflict reconstruction and development in the Balkans and globally.

The program offers courses in:

  • The Origins and Resolution of Violent Conflicts
  • Conflict Resolution and Transformation
  • The Economics of Post-Conflict Transformation
  • Human Rights, Mediation and Journalism in Conflict Regions

This unique program combines the experience and talents of academics and practitioners of conflict resolution - diplomats, military personnel, journalists, and NGO activists. The program provides a practical, hands-on perspective on global conflicts, which takes advantage of proximity to the recent wars in the Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Balkans.

Students and professionals are invited to be part of this memorable experience:

  • All-inclusive program
  • Study abroad for five weeks with renowned experts
  • Enhance theoretical knowledge with practical experience and skills
  • Expand cultural and social horizons
  • Tour historic, cultural, and politically significant sites in the scenic Balkans and Kosovo
  • Meet with senior officials among governments and civil society activists in  the region
  • Develop new and lasting friendships with people from over 45 countries

Share experiences with one another, and much more, at the A.U.K Post-Conflict Transformation and Development Program.

Student statement

"A.U.K. Summer Program has been an unique experience. It has been amazing to see how people from different countries could click so well together and go through three weeks of hard work, always smiling. The material that we learned was very interesting, and the variety of guest lecturers made it even more fascinating. Each of us brought different ideas and perspectives, which made the discussion even more exciting. But above all, I will remember A.U.K. Summer Program for the friendships that I've created. My friends are the most valuable thing that I got out of the program, and something that future participants should get out of too, in addition to all the things they learn."

Brikena Avdyli,
BS A.U.K.
